MEET THE DOCTORS
Marc Adelberg, DDS
Dr. Marc Adelberg has been delivering outstanding pediatric dentistry since 1998. He received his undergraduate education from the University of Albany, majoring in psychology, and his dental education from the University of Buffalo. Dr. Adelberg completed a 2-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center, the hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a board-certified pediatric dentist.
Dr. Marc has also been trained and certified with Vivos Therapeutics, an integrated medical and dental sleep disorder breathing center. Additionally, he has been trained on both the Hoya Con Bio and Biolase dental lasers, as well as PBM lasers. Also, he has trained at the Academy for Sports Dentistry.
Nationally, Dr. Marc has lectured at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the Dental Entrepreneurial Organization (DEO), and the Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO). Locally, he has lectured to residents at pediatric dental residencies as well as mommy-and-me groups, pre-schools, nursery schools, kindergarten classes, and prenatal hospital groups. He is the founding and senior partner of Adelberg Montalvan Pediatric Dental and Orthodontics. When not seeing patients, he acts as the CEO/visionary for the team.
He was raised on Long Island and maintains a home with his wife and 3 children.
Ericka Montalvan, DMD
Dr. Ericka Montalvan, a pediatric dentist since 2005, has been practicing dentistry since 2000 after graduating from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, majoring in biochemistry and minoring in chemistry. After dental school, she continued a 1-year general practice residency at a VA Medical Center in Florida. Two years after practicing general dentistry, her heart was set on pediatric dentistry, and Dr. Ericka went to New Jersey to complete a 2-year residency at UMDNJ Dental School. She is a board-certified pediatric dentist.
Dr. Ericka volunteers in the community and is involved in dental missionary trips around the world. She is an active member of many dental associations such as the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the NYS Dental Association.
She was raised in sunny Miami, Florida, and now lives in New York with her husband, daughter, and son. Dr. Ericka is fluent in Spanish and Sign Language. She strives to provide exceptional care for your children.
Marc Bennet, DMD, MS
Dr. Marc Bennet grew up in Manalapan, New Jersey, and is a graduate of Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. At Brandeis University, he completed a BS in biology with a minor in health policy. He received his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now renamed Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), and stayed at the University Hospital for a two-year specialty training in pediatric dentistry. While completing his residency, he also obtained a Master of Science in dentistry and is a board-certified pediatric dentist.
Dr. Bennet specializes in the care of infants, children, teens, and children with special needs. Dr. Bennet is an active member of many dental organizations and attends many continuing education courses. While Dr. Bennet provides all types of restorative and preventative pediatric dental care, he has extensive training in infant tongue and lip tie releases. Working with infants and adults to release tethered oral tissue to aid in feeding, speech, and development has become one of his passions. He has performed releases of tethered oral tissue on infants as young as three days and adults as old as 71. He has shadowed and learned from the top providers in the country and has lectured on the tie releases and use of C02 lasers at a major dental meeting. Dr. Bennet strives to treat every child in an individualized way with compassion and a sense of humor.
Dr. Bennet lives in Plainview, New York with his wife and their three busy boys. In his free time, Dr. Bennet enjoys spending time with family and friends. He loves to travel and is scuba-certified. He enjoys road cycling and sometimes bikes to work. Recently, he completed an over 100-mile ride raising funds for Autism awareness. He is also traveling to Guatemala with his oldest son to do volunteer work.
Jeanine Pistilli, DDS
Dr. Jeanine Pistilli completed her undergraduate education at Fordham University with a major in chemistry and a minor in economics. She went on to receive her dental degree from SUNY Stony Brook in 2004. Following her dental education, Dr. Jeanine completed two years of a general practice residency, holding the position of Chief Resident. She then completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Staten Island University Hospital. She is a board-certified pediatric dentist and an active member of the American Dental Association as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Her goal is to provide quality dental treatment along with a positive dental experience.
Dr. Jeanine resides in Long Island with her husband and two children. She enjoys cooking and loves traveling to new places.
Adam Postel, DMD
Dr. Adam Postel grew up in New Jersey and graduated from The Pennsylvania State University. He went on to receive his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then pursued a specialty in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. There, he was selected by his colleagues and attending doctors as Chief Resident. Dr. Postel is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is board-certified.
Dr. Postel loves being part of the team and loves to keep children smiling with his compassion and sense of humor.
When not practicing pediatric dentistry, Dr. Postel can be found exploring museums and restaurants in New York City, rooting on NY sports teams, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family. He is married and loves living on Long Island.
Alyssa Levy, DDS
Dr. Alyssa grew up on Long Island. She received her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from the University at Buffalo and went on to receive her DDS at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She completed a 2-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is board-eligible.
Dr. Alyssa’s first experience in the field of pediatric dentistry began when she shadowed our very own doctors during summers home from college. She is excited to join the team that introduced her to pediatric dentistry! Her passion for the field has continued to grow throughout her education and she looks forward to providing outstanding care to all children.
In her free time, Dr. Alyssa enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and spending the day at the beach.
Sabrina Cheng, DDS
Dr. Sabrina Cheng was born and raised on Long Island, and graduated from Barnard College with a degree in neuroscience and behavior. She then pursued and enjoyed a career in high school science education, completing her master’s degree while teaching biology and chemistry in Manhattan. Having never forgotten her passion for the medical field and art, she changed careers to pursue dentistry at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Sabrina then completed her 1-year general practice residency at Winthrop University Hospital and particularly enjoyed working with kids and adolescents. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, NYS Dental Association, Nassau County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sabrina currently lives and practices in New York as a general dentist, and looks forward to joining the team to provide excellent care to our older patients!
Jenny Abraham, DDS
Dr. Jenny Abraham was born and raised in Utica, New York. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University at Albany. She went on to obtain her DDS degree and complete her orthodontic residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Jenny has been in private practice for 25 years.
Dr. Jenny is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a designation earned by doctors who have completed advanced exams and critical review by a panel of nationally respected peers. Only 25% of orthodontists worldwide have currently attained this status.
When she is not busy creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Jenny and her family enjoy traveling, going to the beach, and embarking on new adventures. When at home, she loves riding her Peloton and reading mystery novels.
Jonathan Schecter, DDS
Dr. Jonathan Schecter joined the Adelberg Montalvan Pediatric Dental family in 2009. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Following a general practice residency at New York University, Dr. Schecter participated in a two-year orthognathic surgical fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan where he was published for assisting with the creation of cutting-edge treatment techniques for children with craniofacial deformities. He then went on to earn his postgraduate degree in orthodontics from Stony Brook University and has since had the distinguished honor of becoming board certified with the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Schecter is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Suffolk County Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the American Board of Orthodontics.
When not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Schecter loves spending time with his two daughters Mia and Ava, as well as playing Beethoven to Billy Joel on the piano and writing feature screenplays.
Hailey Taylor, DDS
Dr. Hailey Taylor is a native of northern California, where she grew up in a town of just 5,000 people. She attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute for her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. After working as an engineer in an oil refinery for several years, she decided to trade her coveralls for scrubs. Hailey attended UC San Francisco for dental school and lived just two blocks away from the best bakery ever. She moved back to the East Coast for a three-year Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency at SUNY Stony Brook University.
Dr. Hailey is a board-certified orthodontist and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and is the membership chair of the Suffolk County Dental Society. She enjoys treating both kids and adults alike and will work hard to ensure that your orthodontics and dental goals are fully met!
When she’s not working, Dr. Hailey can be found running through Northport with her fiancé, Devin, and her dog, Lava. She enjoys backpacking with her family, a good day hike, reading, and enjoying a fresh scone.
Parandis Nejati, DDS
Dr. Parandis Nejati (Dr. Para) completed her undergraduate, dental, and orthodontic education at Stony Brook University. She is excited to be a part of the team and provide the best orthodontic care to all of our wonderful patients!
Dr. Para is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the American Association of Orthodontists.
She is an avid musical theater buff and puzzle solver. In her spare time, Dr. Para loves trying different cuisines, oil painting, traveling, and spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends.
Mitchell Steinberg, DDS, MD
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Mitchell Steinberg grew up in Great Neck, New York. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts and a concentration in biology and biomedical science. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine with an honors distinction in research.
Dr. Mitch then pursued further education and obtained his medical degree from the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He underwent a General Surgery Internship at Northshore University Hospital and completed his six-year surgical residency in oral & maxillofacial surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Stony Brook University Hospital, and the Northport VA Medical Center. In his final year, he served as Chief Resident.
Throughout his training, Dr. Mitch has taken a keen interest in research and pursued the most current techniques. His love for taking care of patients in both an academic and private practice setting has also carried him on multiple outreach missions. His volunteer work has taken him across the globe to countries such as Madagascar, Ecuador, and Guatemala.
When he is not treating patients in the office, at the hospital, or participating at a conference, Dr. Mitch can be found spending time with his wife and three children. They love to travel, enjoy the outdoors, and sailing on the Long Island Sound.
