MEET THE DOCTORS
Marc Adelberg, DDS
Dr. Marc Adelberg has been delivering outstanding pediatric dentistry since 1998. He received his undergraduate education from the University of Albany, majoring in psychology, and his dental education from the University of Buffalo. Dr. Adelberg completed a 2-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center, the hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a board-certified pediatric dentist.
Dr. Marc has also been trained and certified with Vivos Therapeutics, an integrated medical and dental sleep disorder breathing center. Additionally, he has been trained on both the Hoya Con Bio and Biolase dental lasers, as well as PBM lasers. Also, he has trained at the Academy for Sports Dentistry.
Nationally, Dr. Marc has lectured at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the Dental Entrepreneurial Organization (DEO), and the Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO). Locally, he has lectured to residents at pediatric dental residencies as well as mommy-and-me groups, pre-schools, nursery schools, kindergarten classes, and prenatal hospital groups. He is the founding and senior partner of Adelberg Montalvan Pediatric Dental and Orthodontics. When not seeing patients, he acts as the CEO/visionary for the team.
He was raised on Long Island and maintains a home with his wife and 3 children.
Ericka Montalvan, DDS
Dr. Ericka Montalvan, a pediatric dentist since 2005, has been practicing dentistry since 2000 after graduating from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, majoring in biochemistry and minoring in chemistry. After dental school, she continued a 1-year general practice residency at a VA Medical Center in Florida. Two years after practicing general dentistry, her heart was set on pediatric dentistry, and Dr. Ericka went to New Jersey to complete a 2-year residency at UMDNJ Dental School. She is a board-certified pediatric dentist.
Dr. Ericka volunteers in the community and is involved in dental missionary trips around the world. She is an active member of many dental associations such as the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the NYS Dental Association.
She was raised in sunny Miami, Florida, and now lives in New York with her husband, daughter, and son. Dr. Ericka is fluent in Spanish and Sign Language. She strives to provide exceptional care for your children.
Marc Bennet, DMD, MS
Dr. Marc Bennet grew up in Manalapan, New Jersey, and is a graduate of Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. At Brandeis University, he completed a degree in biology and a minor in health policy. He received his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and stayed at the University Hospital for a 2-year specialty training in pediatric dentistry. While completing his residency he also obtained a Master of Science in dentistry. He is a board-certified pediatric dentist.
Dr. Bennet specializes in the care of infants, children, teens, and children with special needs. Dr. Bennet is an active member of many dental organizations and attends many continuing education courses.
In his free time, Dr. Bennet enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He loves to travel and is scuba-certified. Dr. Bennet lives in Plainview, New York with his wife, Debra, and their three busy boys. Dr. Bennet strives to treat every child in an individualized way with compassion and a sense of humor.
Jeanine Pistilli, DDS
Dr. Jeanine Pistilli completed her undergraduate education at Fordham University with a major in chemistry and a minor in economics. She went on to receive her dental degree from SUNY Stony Brook in 2004. Following her dental education, Dr. Jeanine completed 2 years of a general practice residency, holding the position of Chief Resident. She then completed a 2-year pediatric dental residency at Staten Island University Hospital. She is a board-certified pediatric dentist and an active member of the American Dental Association as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Jeanine resides in Long Island with her husband and 2 beautiful children. Her goal is to provide quality dental treatment along with a positive dental experience.
Adam Postel, DMD
Dr. Adam Postel grew up in New Jersey and graduated from The Pennsylvania State University. He went on to receive his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then pursued a specialty in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. There, he was selected by his colleagues and attending doctors as Chief Resident. Dr. Postel is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is board-certified.
Dr. Postel loves being part of the team and loves to keep children smiling with his compassion and sense of humor.
When not practicing pediatric dentistry, Dr. Postel can be found exploring museums and restaurants in New York City, rooting on NY sports teams, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family. He is married and loves living on Long Island.
Alyssa Levy, DDS
Dr. Alyssa grew up on Long Island. She received her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from the University at Buffalo and went on to receive her DDS at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She completed a 2-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is board-eligible.
Dr. Alyssa’s first experience in the field of pediatric dentistry began when she shadowed our very own doctors during summers home from college. She is excited to join the team that introduced her to pediatric dentistry! Her passion for the field has continued to grow throughout her education and she looks forward to providing outstanding care to all children.
In her free time, Dr. Alyssa enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and spending the day at the beach.
Sabrina Cheng, DDS
Dr. Sabrina Cheng was born and raised on Long Island, and graduated from Barnard College with a degree in neuroscience and behavior. She then pursued and enjoyed a career in high school science education, completing her master’s degree while teaching biology and chemistry in Manhattan. Having never forgotten her passion for the medical field and art, she changed careers to pursue dentistry at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Sabrina then completed her 1-year general practice residency at Winthrop University Hospital and particularly enjoyed working with kids and adolescents. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, NYS Dental Association, Nassau County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sabrina currently lives and practices in New York as a general dentist, and looks forward to joining the team to provide excellent care to our older patients!
Jenny Abraham, DDS
Dr. Jenny Abraham is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. She has been delivering outstanding orthodontic care in West Islip for more than 10 years. Dr. Jenny graduated from SUNY at Stony Brook Dental School, where she also completed her 3-year residency in orthodontics. She has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY at Stony Brook’s orthodontic program. She is a member of the Dental Staff of Good Samaritan Hospital, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists. She is proficient in treating both children and adults with braces, Invisalign and Invisalign Teen.
Dr. Jenny especially loves working with children and has two of her own, Isabella and Luke Surrusco. In her free time, she is a Girl Scout leader for her daughter’s Daisy troop. She loves to read, swim and spend time with her family. Dr. Jenny resides in St. James with her family.
Jonathan Schecter, DDS
Dr. Jonathan Schecter received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Following a General Practice Residency at New York University, Dr. Schecter participated in a 2-year orthognathic surgical fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, where he was published for assisting with the creation of cutting-edge treatment techniques for children with craniofacial deformities. He then went on to earn his postgraduate degree in orthodontics from Stony Brook University. Dr. Schecter is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the American Association of Orthodontists.
When not creating beautiful smiles for people, Dr. Schecter loves spending time with his wife, Jill, and his two little girls, Mia and Ava.
Amanda B. Albin, DMD
Dr. Amanda Albin grew up in Central New Jersey and completed her undergraduate education at Tufts University. There she received a Bachelor of Science in biopsychology with a minor in art history. She then received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Albin went on to complete her postgraduate training in orthodontics at Stony Brook University, as well as a Master of Science in biomedical sciences. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists. She is also board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Albin enjoys treating both children and adults. She treats patients with both braces and Invisalign. Dr. Albin loves getting to know her patients and making them feel comfortable and happy while under her care. Her favorite part of being an orthodontist is getting to know her patients and their families. She also enjoys how orthodontics uses both science and creativity to help make beautiful smiles.
Dr. Albin lives in Nassau County with her husband, Daniel, and their puppy named Pepper. Outside of the office, she loves to cook with her husband. They enjoy making all different cuisines, but their favorite is cooking Indian since they love spicy food. Dr. Albin also enjoys traveling, painting with acrylics, and spending time with her family and friends.
Gregory Bohle, DDS, MD, FACS
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Gregory Bohle is an outstanding addition to our team, now allowing children and adults to have oral surgery done in our office. We have worked closely with Dr. Bohle for many years and now we have excellent coordination of care in a non-threatening familiar environment.
Dr. Bohle graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2005. He continued his studies with a General Surgery Internship and graduated from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. Finally, Dr. Bohle completed his 6-year dual degree, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Stony Brook Medical Center in 2011. Dr. Bohle’s practice encompasses all aspects of oral surgery including extractions of erupted teeth, wisdom teeth, implants, and reconstructive surgery, as well as pediatric and adult trauma for our pediatric teen and adult patients. He works closely with our team of dentists and orthodontists.
Dr. Bohle also proudly serves our country in the Navy Reserve and received his direct commission as a Lieutenant Commander in December 2014. He is also a member of the medical staff at Stony Brook Medical Center and is a clinical assistant professor at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bohle was inducted as a fellow in the prestigious American College of Surgeons (FACS). Few oral and maxillofacial surgeons have been selected for this esteemed organization. Dr. Bohle is also a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and a fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS).
Dr. Bohle lives in Port Jefferson with his wife and three children.
