Bringing Smiles to Local Schools: Adelberg Montalvan Pediatric Dental in the Community

At Adelberg Montalvan Pediatric Dental, healthy smiles start with early education. Our offices across Long Island—Nesconset, Northport, West Islip, and Massapequa Park—have been hitting the road to visit local schools and teach kids about dental care in a fun and friendly way. Our mission? To make dental health something children feel confident and excited about.

We believe pediatric dentistry isn’t just about what happens in the dental chair. It’s about creating habits that last a lifetime. That’s why we take our passion beyond our offices and into classrooms, where we can spark curiosity, answer questions, and help kids feel confident about caring for their teeth.

What Happens During a School Visit?

Our school presentations are short, sweet, and packed with smiles. In about 20 minutes, we cover the basics of oral health in a hands-on, fun way. Here’s what a typical visit looks like:

  1. We start with a short story that introduces dental care in a simple, age-appropriate way.
  2. Then, our puppet friend joins in to demonstrate how to brush like a pro.
  3. We wrap up with a Q&A session where kids can ask anything (and they do!).

We tailor each visit to your school’s needs. That means we’re happy to speak to individual classrooms or larger groups, whichever works best for your setup.

Why It Matters

Dental anxiety is common in kids, but when we show up with a smile and a puppet, something changes. Children see dentists as friendly, not scary. They realize brushing can be fun, and they leave the session feeling like dental health is something they can manage, not something that just happens at the dentist’s office. It’s a small visit with a big impact.

Making a Lasting Impression

These classroom visits are designed to leave a lasting impression and build lifelong habits. Kids leave our presentations excited to show off their brushing skills, and educators appreciate how we make dental hygiene engaging and approachable. These small, meaningful moments in the classroom help build trust and set the foundation for lifelong healthy habits. For many children, it’s their first interaction with a dental professional, and our Adelberg Montalvan Pediatric Dental team is proud to make it a positive one.

Our Mission: Healthier Smiles, Happier Kids

From reading stories to handing out toothbrushes, our goal is simple: to help. We want every child to feel empowered, educated, and excited about their smile. When kids understand dental care early, they’re more likely to keep those healthy habits for life. We’re proud to be a part of your community and even prouder to help it smile a little brighter.
